A woman with gray hair, wearing a pink shirt and black apron, sits at a desk and writes on a piece of paper. The background features shelves filled with books, potted plants, and art supplies, with warm lighting.

In my forties, I discovered my love for art and creativity. I’ve always loved photography and been kinda crafty. But in 2020 and 2021, as I began to lose my eyesight (a rare form of cataracts that required lens replacement surgery), I decided to teach myself to draw. Then, I discovered a love for watercolors. From there, sometimes, I get a bit of artsy adhd — skipping around to whatever project seems fun.

In 2024, I opened a small space inside a local shop to sell paintings, greeting cards, photography, and more. 2025 found me headed to markets. I love meeting vendors, other artists, and amazing customers.
